Heaters Webasto Air Top Evo 40 are designed for heating truck beds with large cabins, special transport cabs and for small buses, such as the Volkswagen Crafter, and mid-size boat stores.

Air Top Evo 40 air heaters are not allowed to heat trucks carrying dangerous goods. Heaters operate independently of the car engine and are connected to the fuel tank and the vehicle’s electrical system. It is possible to use these heaters in cars both with air and with liquid cooling of the engine.

Thanks to the use of ceramic technology, it was possible to significantly reduce the load on the car battery, and the cermet gasket gives resistance to warming and wear.

When the heater is turned on, the glow plug turns on. The fan of the heated air and air for combustion starts to work with 50% power. After 40 seconds, the dosing pump is turned on and the flame formation begins. For the best starting result, the metering pump and combustion air blower start working at different frequencies and speeds. After 90 seconds, the glow pin switches to the flame sensor mode and controls the burning process.

During combustion gases emitted during the combustion process pass through a heat exchanger. In this case, the heat from them through the walls of the heat exchanger is transferred to the heating air supplied by the supercharger and then to the heated room.
