Fuel pump.
The fuel pump represents the combined giving, dosing and locking system for providing the heater with fuel from the fuel tank of the car.
The dosing pump is the combined system of giving, a dosage and blocking of supply of fuel. At his installation it is necessary to observe certain requirements.
Installation site.
It is desirable to install the fuel pump in the cool place, but (as well as fuel-supply lines) at all not near details of the car radiating heat – otherwise thermal insulation has to be provided! Admissible temperature about the fuel pump and the fuel highway shouldn't exceed +20 ° C for petrol and +40 ° C for diesel heaters.
Requirements to installation.
The fuel pump it is necessary to fix on a vibroshock-absorbing pendant, in the situation shown in fig. 806. to provide a good independent air outlet (deaeration). In view of danger of corrosion it is allowed to apply only the shtekerny connections delivered by Vebasto between the fuel pump and its cable plait.
