Atlant 2kW
The main difference from the heaters working on the principle of natural convection (conventional "immersion heaters") is an electromagnetic pump built into the heating chamber, which creates forced circulation of the coolant in the system, thereby providing a more uniform and rapid heating of the engine block. This advantage also makes it possible to install the heater in any free place of the engine compartment.
The electric heater works as follows:
- At connection of the electric heater to the alternating current network by voltage 220V the electric heating element(ten) which is in the case made of an aluminum alloy under pressure begins to heat the coolant "OZH" (Tosol, antifreeze).
Heated coolant is pumped through the engine cooling system built-in electromagnetic pump a pump with an impeller made of heat-resistant polymer, thereby providing a forced circulation and a more intense mixing of the coolant, making the engine warm up faster and more evenly, compared to heaters innerchange type (natural circulation).
- The thermostat, which has a direct contact with the body of the heater, controls the temperature of the effluent through the outlet pipe and prevents overheating of the electric heater by disconnecting the contacts. By reducing the coolant temperature, the thermostat switches to the closed state and the next cycle of heating the fluid, thus maintaining the temperature of the coolant in the cooling system of the engine within the specified limits (in this case the pump-the pump continues to run!).
