Heat exchanger.
In the heat exchanger the heat resulting from the combustion is transferred to the cooling circuit.
Visual inspection of the heat exchanger.
* Check the heat exchanger for internal damage, corrosion, soot and deposits.
* Check the heat exchanger for external damage, corrosion, humidity, deformation, deposits, discoloration, etc.
ATTENTION! Soot and deposits in the heat exchanger should be removed, as they prevent heat transfer to the coolant. Strong outer deformation can impair the flow of the coolant.
Visual inspection of the exhaust pipe and exhaust pipe.
Check the condition, firm fit, contamination and deposits of the exhaust pipe and, if necessary, the exhaust pipe. It is allowed to use the exhaust gas outlet only in accordance with the installation Instructions.
Start-up after installation of the burner, heater or heat exchanger.
During the test run, check the tightness and tight fit of the coolant and fuel connections. If a problem is detected during operation of the heater, error detection should be performed.
1. Removing air from the fuel system.
If the combustion does not turn on at the first start-up, the heater should be turned off and turned on again. A small amount of air bubbles in the fuel line enters the combustion chamber through the spray nozzle.
Until the air is completely removed from the fuel line, a flame break is not excluded. The flame is re-ignited up to 5 times, after which the heater is blocked.
When operating with a long supply line, check valves, and / or a fuel filter in the pressure line, it is recommended that the supply line be filled before the heater is first put into operation.
2. Removing air from the cooling circuit.
INDICATION! In General, the removal of air from the water container should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
CAUTION! There is a risk of injury when using a coolant with a high temperature.
The Aquavent 5000 (U4814) and Aquavent 6000S (U4855) circulation pumps are only allowed to be switched on to remove air after dry operation.
The Aquavent 5000 (U4854) and Aquavent 6000SC (U4856) circulation pumps are allowed to be switched on for air removal and "dry"operation.
Set the vehicle's heating system to "heat" mode and fill in the coolant.
If it is determined that the vehicle engine is filled with coolant, start the vehicle engine at an increased idle speed. After opening the radiator thermostat, turn off the vehicle's engine and check the coolant volume; if necessary, add coolant.
When the vehicle engine is switched off, turn on the heater with the circulation pump and the vehicle heater fan. After the end of the vehicle engine cooling time, the heater should turn on automatically, and after reaching the upper switching threshold, it should limit its performance.
If the heater does not turn on automatically, check whether the heater reheat protection has not been activated and whether the heater is blocked.
Unlock the heater and repeat the air removal procedure.
